The Benefits of Solo Travel

February 1, 2020 By Italkabouttravelalot17222

The Benefits of Solo Travel

There’s no drama.

With everyone having their own likes and dislikes, even the closest of friends have differing ideas of entertainment. This being said, when travelling with a friend or loved one, problems can arise.

Solo Travel

Your travel partner probably won’t want to do everything you want to do and vice versa, just the same way that you may not want to stay at the same hotel that they want to stay at.

Trying to find your way around and keep yourselves busy when you’re sleep deprived and grouchy can quickly form divides in relationships.

It saves you money.

Traveling is an expensive hobby. Travelers pay a heavy price for enjoying the sights and sounds of other places – especially when they travel in groups.

In fact, even with one other person, costs are doubled. This doesn’t seem like much but when airline tickets alone can cost upwards of $400, even doubling the expense can be painful.

In addition, in groups you’re more likely to spend money unnecessarily.

By yourself, you won’t be pressured to have another drink, order dessert, or take a cab when you could have just as easily walked. Oh, and that mildly scary souvenir you were coaxed into buying? You wouldn’t have bought it had you been alone.

You can spend your time doing whatever you want.

When travelling alone, your time is your own. You can spend the day doing whatever your heart desires. Want to spend the day reading in a quaint cafe? Go for it.

Want to go rock climbing? No one’s stopping you. There’s nothing and no one to prevent you from spending your days how you choose. You can spend as much or as little time in any one place as you desire.

You’ll meet more people.

When you travel in a group or with a friend, you’re most likely going to spend most of the trip chatting with the person who came with you.

You may have a short conversation with a waitress or tour guide, but otherwise, chances are that you won’t interact with many other people.

When traveling by yourself, in order to get human interaction you’ll have to speak up and talk to the locals. You’ll be forced to reach out to others and, in turn, you may make some long lasting friends.

You can connect with yourself.

Often times, those who go traveling learn something new about themselves. This happens because when we’re abroad, we tend to try new things. In doing so, we learn about our likes and dislikes.

Sometimes, depending on the situations we’re put in, we also learn about our morals and values.

The Pros and Cons of Mobile Dog Grooming

April 3, 2019 By Italkabouttravelalot17222

The Pros and Cons of Mobile Dog Grooming

You’ve probably seem mobile dog grooming services- vans with photos of cute, fluffy dogs on their sides and a catchy slogan to draw you in. If you’ve been tempted to give mobile grooming a try but are hesitant due to lack of information, have no fear- we can help! We’ve put together an easy-to-read article comparing both the pros and cons of mobile dog grooming.

Pros

A no stress experience.

Well, almost. May dogs, regardless of where, how, or when you get them groomed, will still find the experience stressful. Often times, though, taking your dog to a mobile groomer will prove to be less stressful. By having them groomed in this manner, you eliminate the need for nausea-inducing car rides and overwhelming smells.

No other dogs.

Dogs- even the most well behaved and even-tempered ones- are prone to agitation when in close quarters with other dogs. Traditional dog groomers conduct their work in a set space such as a house, room, or dedicated studio, and usually have more than one dog in the facility at any given time. Mobile groomers, however, generally only have one dog in their work space.

Convenient

The whole point of hiring a mobile dog grooming Las Vegas professional is convenience. Mobile dog grooming is convenient for both the dog and his or her owner, as well as for the groomer. Owners can bring their pets to the mobile groomer whenever they want, working around tight work schedules and obligations. Mobile groomers are great for dog owners who go to secondary or postsecondary school, as well, often operating on the weekends.

Cons

Cost

As with everything, convenience comes at a cost. Mobile groomers, as mentioned above, are wonderfully convenient but they are also generally more expensive than a traditional appointment-only dog grooming salon.

Location

Mobile groomers have the ability to to take their business anywhere- into the city, on the outskirts, or to your place of employment if necessary. However, the fact that most mobile groomers work out of large, specialized vans can be a hassle when it comes to mobility. Some homes are located too far out of the general area of civilization or require a drive on a narrow or winding road that many vans are too large to safely embark on.

Small area

Mobile dog grooming salons are usually quite small. The work space is enclosed and there isn’t a whole lot of room for the groomer and equipment, let alone the dog’s owner. This can be a downfall if you’re the type of owner who would prefer to be included in the grooming procedure to ensure the proper care and treatment of your furry friend.

Before you take your pet to the mobile groomers, be sure to consider the pros and cons mentioned above. Will your dog be too stressed out or will the one-on-one time work in his favor? The decision is yours to make, so give it some thought before rushing in- after all, mobile groomers are ready when you are.
